Commercial Law & Litigation

Commercial law is a branch of civil law that deals with business and commercial activities. Commercial law regulates the sale and manufacture of consumer goods, hiring practices, and all corporate contracts. In order to homogenize commercial and business transactions and sales laws throughout the country, and enable uniform application of laws in all states, the Uniform Commercial Code has been created. The Code deals with the following subjects: sale and lease of goods, negotiable instruments, letters of credit, bank deposits, bill of lading, investment securities, warehouse receipts, and secured transactions.
